Statement of Faith

At EPR, we stand firmly on the foundation of God’s Word and the historic Christian faith. The following core beliefs guide our teaching, shape our mission, and reflect our commitment to live according to God’s truth.

1. The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible—both Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and the final standard for faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).

2. The One True God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-equal in power, glory, and authority (Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 6:4).

3. God the Father
We believe that God the Father is the sovereign Creator who sustains all things and desires that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9).

4. Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory (John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11).

5. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells and empowers them, distributes spiritual gifts, and leads into truth and holiness (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).

6. The Fall of Man
We believe that humanity fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience and is now spiritually dead without Christ (Romans 3:23; 5:12–19).

7. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5).

8. Repentance
We believe that true repentance is a change of heart and mind, turning from sin to God, prompted by the conviction of the Holy Spirit (Acts 3:19; 2 Corinthians 7:10).

9. Justification
We believe that all who believe in Jesus are justified—declared righteous before God—through the finished work of Christ (Romans 5:1; Galatians 2:16).

10. Adoption
We believe that believers are adopted into God’s family, becoming His sons and daughters with full inheritance rights in Christ (John 1:12; Romans 8:14–17).

11. Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is both immediate and progressive—believers are set apart at salvation and grow in holiness through the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 12:14).

12. Glorification
We believe that glorification is the final phase of salvation, when believers will be fully transformed into the image of Christ for eternity (Romans 8:30; Philippians 3:20–21).

13. The Church
We believe that the universal Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers. The local church exists for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission (1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Acts 2:42–47).

14. The Great Commission
We believe that every believer is called to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and teach obedience to Christ’s commands (Matthew 28:18–20).

15. Baptism by Immersion
We believe in baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, symbolizing death to sin and new life in Christ (Romans 6:3–4; Matthew 28:19).

16. The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
We believe that Communion is a sacred observance, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and proclaiming His return (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

17. A Life of Holiness and Service
We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives, walking in the Spirit and serving others in love, following the example of Christ (Galatians 5:22–25; Matthew 25:34–40).

18. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers to build up the Church and fulfill Christ’s mission (1 Corinthians 12:7–11; Ephesians 4:11–13).

19. The Second Coming of Christ
We believe that Jesus will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal Kingdom (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 22:12).

20. Eternal Life and Final Judgment
We believe in the bodily resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will receive eternal life; the unrighteous will face eternal separation from God (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11–15).

21. Marriage and Family
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God, uniting one man and one woman in a lifelong, faithful, and loving relationship (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6). Marriage is intended for companionship, mutual support, loving expression, and raising children in the fear of the Lord (Ephesians 5:22–33; Proverbs 22:6). We affirm that the family is the foundational unit of both society and the Church. We uphold biblical values in marriage and family, including faithfulness, mutual respect, and godly leadership at home. We reject any redefinition of marriage that departs from God’s original design.

22. Creation
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth in six days, as described in Genesis 1, and that humanity was created in His image to steward creation (Genesis 1:1–31; Colossians 1:16).
